Eight balls each of colourful flowers (ochre), wildflower meadow (grey) and sunflowers (brown), about two centimetres across. The tints vary a little from batch to batch — clay is a natural product.
From late March, place, roll or throw onto loose, earthy soil; wait for rain or water; after a few weeks the first species flower and the slow ones follow into autumn. If you do not feel like crafting, throw all twenty-four at once — enough for three to four square metres.

How it works
