Soil, clay and seed – rolled into small balls by hand. Simply place or throw them onto the soil, water them in and, with a little patience, watch them grow.
Every seed bomb is rolled by hand, measures roughly one and a half to two and a half centimetres and is then left to dry through in peace. Nothing more is needed.

Throw
Place or throw the seed bomb onto loose, ideally bare soil – a balcony box, a bed or your own garden. Then water it in thoroughly once.
Day 3 to 14
Sprout
The clay softens and the first seeds start to germinate. How quickly depends on the mix, the temperature and the weather. During this time the ball should not dry out completely.
Week 2 to 4
Grow
The roots reach the ground and the ball slowly turns into a small group of young plants.
Week 4 to 12
Bloom
Depending on the mix, the spot and the weather the first flowers open. Then, hopefully, bees, bumblebees and butterflies come to visit.

Ten or twelve hand-rolled seed bombs in a cotton bag – with a card tag and short instructions. Packed without plastic, ready to give away or to throw yourself, from €7.90.
You can pack loose seed bombs into small pouches, boxes or paper bags yourself and add a personal tag. That way every guest takes a small piece of future flower meadow home.

I am Lena and I roll every seed bomb myself. What fascinates me is how something so small can slowly turn into a colourful patch of flowers.
With my seed bombs I would like to bring a little more colour into the world and, at the same time, offer bees, bumblebees, butterflies and other insects new flowers. Every ball is rolled by hand, dried carefully and packed without plastic.
From March to May, once the ground is frost-free – and again from September to October. Sown in autumn, many species germinate especially strongly the following spring, because the cold is what wakes them up.
Where may I place or throw the balls?
On your own balcony, in a raised bed, along the fence or in a free corner of the garden. On land that is not yours, please ask first. The seeds need soil, light and water – nothing happens on asphalt or gravel.
Do I have to bury seed bombs?
No. Simply place or throw them onto loose soil and water them in. The clay keeps the seeds in place and stores moisture until they germinate. After a few days the first seedlings appear.
How long does it take until the first flower?
The first seedlings show after a few days to two weeks. Flowering takes four to twelve weeks, depending on the mix, the spot and the weather. Sown in spring, they usually flower from June.
Are the mixes suitable for bees and butterflies?
Yes. All mixes contain single flowers that provide nectar and pollen. The bee mix and the butterfly buffet are tuned to that in particular.
How long do seed bombs keep?
Stored dry and dark they stay viable at least until the next season. So it is no problem if the bag is only opened next spring.
Can I order larger quantities or my own selection?
Yes. For weddings, company events, schools or clubs I also roll 100 balls and more, with your own tag if you like. Just tell me briefly what you are planning.
